Michael Korican of Churchill Korican Services has produced two short films for Bravo!FACT in the last two years: "Scratch" by Scott Amos and his own "i luv spam," which is screening at this year's Victoria Film Festival.
He graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production, Special Honours, winning the Famous Players Scholarship in his last year. The Rolling Stone Book of Rock Video called Michael's feature, "Recorded: Live!" "the first film about rock video."
His career spans film exhibition, magazine publishing and web site production. He last consulted with the Ministry of Education on a web-based development tool for the production of provincial exams.
Michael has sat on the boards of the Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto and both CineVic and MediaNet in Victoria, BC. He belongs to the Victoria Film Producers Association and the Directors Guild of Canada.
